The violence may be thousands of miles away, but the tensions related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict were on display in Washington that Monday as an estimated 100,000 people of people jammed the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol to attend what organizers called the "largest rally ever in support of Israel!"

Adina Anflick (Wachman) at her wedding. Adina was a Woodside resident while working on her MLS degree. Adina and Charlie were married on the evening of January 13. Her husband's sister-in-law (i.e. Charlie's brother's wife) is the daughter of Harold Goldsmith's kallah.
